Day 6 238.9lbs

Been below 240lbs for past 3 days, longest streak in quite some time. Have stuck to my diet nearly 100% except for some avocado and a few whiskey drinks at a recent concert I attended. Exercise has been minimal but the pounds have continued to melt away. The biggest factor imo is no beer or crap snack food. Going to keep on trucking and see how skinny I can get.

Day 2

April 5th will be day 17. I weighed in at 242.5 this am and have been sticking to the guidelines of the diet. Its pretty simple actually. Lean poultry and fish. Vegetables. 2 servings of low sugar fruits as well as yogurt(pro-biotic). 1 serving of healthy fats(Olive oil). No alcohol or carbs allowed the 1st 17 days. Also 17 min of aerobic exercise. That is it in a nutshell.

Life

Well here I am going on 31 and living. For the past 2-3 years I have been drinking too much and kinda just lost as far as life goes. Part of me just wants to work and party. Another part of me would like to get a career rolling and establish myself that way. Along with that I have become grossly overweight at 245lbs, nearly 15lbs more than I have ever weighted. I need a plan.

Currently I am working towards a degree in Kinesiology which I hope will lead me to a career as a high school PE teacher. As for my current jo I deal cards at the local casino. The money and hours are good but the days I work and the actual environment in which I work are less than ideal.

The reason I am writing this blog is to brainstorm what my perfect life is going to look like. We will live in a home of our own. The wife and I will both be in the best shape of our lives. I will be teaching and she will continue to advance at her career as well. We will have an abundance of time to spend together as a family doing fun outdoor activities. Marcello is at the top of class in reading and math while showing real talent as a musician and athlete.

I will look like this again.

17 day diet

Bought the ebook awhile back and found it to be pretty simple and effective. Going to try and rock it for the 1st 17 and see what all happens. Can I not drink for 17 days? Why not?

Got off work and had some cold beer in the fridge and a guest over. Yup drank 4-5 beers and had some chips and salsa. My weakness. Time to jump back in the saddle and grind off some pounds this week. Looking to spend consecutive days in the 23xx range starting Monday or Tuesday. Go Time!

244 AHHHHH

Not a huge deal as I want to allow myself one cheat meal a week. Last night I got off work early and spent some time with friends. Had 5 beers and some pizza which contributed to the 244lbs weigh in this AM. One problem is that I got an xl pizza instead of l so I have left overs which I will be eating for lunch today. On the plus side I am going to get in a nice walk here in a few minutes. 23xx is coming. I feel it.

Back on track. Ate healthy all day and multiple times. Missed the walk because I was a bit tired after work and had to nail down some chem homework. Will continue to stay lean and clean in the food department. Also looking to stay alcohol free till next Sat after my little blip on Wed. Looking forward to getting on the scale every morning and seeing 23xx so tired of routinely seeing 24xx. Tomorrow the 23xx will begin.

243.6 3/8/12

Fell off yesterday. The weather was so epic I gave in and had 2 22oz beers. Also ate a small amount of tortilla chips. The best part is that I did play golf and hit the gym along with go on a bike ride with my son. So I was definitely active. I also ate healthy the rest of the day besides the small blip. Back at it today. Healthy eating and hopefully I can sneek in a walk this evening after work.

Headed in the right direction. 2nd day alcohol free. Ate several meals yesterday. Day 3 will be more of the same. Almost forgot I got in a nice brisk walk in the evening. Today I will hit the gym and continue to eat lean and clean. My goal will be reached.

246.5 lbs 3/6/2012

Ate healthy all day yesterday and consumed no alcohol. Today will be more of the same. Plan to get a nice walk in as well which should help. Still working on getting to write up a diet plan. I have the basics in my head so it shouldt be all that hard. Complex carbs, lean meat, fruit and vegetables. 5-6 meals a day. Ship it. 220lbs here I come.

Game time

1st attempt at no alcohol consumption begins today March 5th. I will not drink any alcohol until St Pattys day. Also no cookies, chips or just crap food in general. Its time to get serious. 220 lbs is a long way away and 60 days aint shit. Every day I will update this blog with my weight. Ready set go. Eating coming. Eating diary is also a #1 priority.

If I can do anything then...

I can weigh 220lbs by May 13th 2012 at the ripe old age of 31. Current weight is approx. 245. My biggest hurdle has been the consumption of beer and junk food. Easy fix is to cut it out of my diet or at least minimize the consumption. The plan is to formulate a simple to follow eating schedule/menu and reward myself one meal a week where I will be allowed to have some a 22 or 2 of beer and some delicious sinful food.

Along with changing my eating habits I plan to circuit train with weights 3 times a week and add walking/jogging/cardio an additional 2-3 days a week. Hopefully I can get my wife to join me as well and we can both be looking our all time best come summer time.
